Empowering Women Entrepreneurship:Congratulations to the Winners of Hack Like a Girl 3.0!
We are proud to celebrate the outstanding teams who emerged victorious at Hack Like a Girl 3.0, SLASSCOM’s entrepreneurship hackathon empowering women undergraduates across Sri Lanka.

   * Winner: Trunk Guard – The Elephant Repellent | University of Vavuniya
   * 1st Runner-Up: Invested | Informatics Institute of Technology
   * 2nd Runner-Up: Danidi | Informatics Institute of Technology

Remarkable teams showcased innovative solutions, problem-solving skills, and entrepreneurial potential, proving that the future of women-led innovation in Sri Lanka is brighter than ever.

Ms. Tharsayini Mohan earned 1st place in this competition.

Hack Like a Girl 2.0 - Grand Finale

The Department of ICT – FOT ,University of Vavuniya proudly congratulate our student Miss.Tharsayini Mohan, from third year for her successful achievement of becoming the 1st Runner Up at the hackathon 𝐇𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥 𝟐.𝟎 – 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 and winning a cash price of Rs.125,000.00
Ms.Tharshayini became the winner of 𝐇𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥 𝟐.𝟎 Nothern Chapter took place on the 3rd of November 2024 for her creative and innovative solution “Smart Cane for visually impaired people” and was selected for the 𝐇𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥 𝟐.𝟎 Grand Final took place at the Jetwing Colombo Seven on the 3rd of December 2024 and secured the first runner up position among the 12 incredible teams participated.
This event was brought by the SLASSCOM Women Technopreneurs Forum and was more than just a hackathon, it was a platform to celebrate the power of women in tech, break barriers, and challenge stereotypes. From groundbreaking ideas to inspiring teamwork, these brilliant minds showcased what true innovation looks like.

Kumite Women

 M. Tharshayani for winning the runner-up in Kumite Women Below 50kg category at the 2024 Inter University Karate Championship! This is a remarkable accomplishment that reflects hard work, discipline, and sheer determination. Well done on this incredible victory!
