Profile Brief

Ms. Amrithaa Thuvakaran is a Lecturer in ICT at the Department of Information and Communication Technology, University of Vavuniya, with over five years of experience in teaching IT. Her teaching spans programming, human-computer interaction, mobile computing, web technologies, and e-commerce, reflecting a broad engagement across both foundational and applied areas of ICT. She has disseminated her knowledge beyond the classroom through community outreach and has served in several administrative and leadership roles, including as an IEEE Branch Counselor. Her research interests include deep learning for remote sensing and earth observation, edge AI, and IoT-enabled smart sensing systems.
